Welcome

History shows that the Horizon Bilingual Nursery and Primary School Akwa was created and had its authorisation in 1991 as the first Bilingual system of 50/50 in Cameroon. Since then, it has recorded remarkable series of academic achievements. The success of this performance is attributed to the team work of the administration. It is the pivot around which many aspects of the school revolve. The strong administration maintains a collective focus on school goals. We coordinate work within and across teams to facilitate collective efforts. We also make sure that solutions are shared and applied school-wide, by empowering and coordinating the work of teachers and school staff around shared goals. A focus on teaching and learning is a key component in Horizon. We set directions – charting a clear course that everyone understands, establishing high expectations and using data to track progress and performance. We also investigate and use motivational strategies to promote kids/pupils’ academic performance. There is effective classroom management. We provide teachers with the resources they need to implement research – based strategies, creating an engaging learning environment and encouraging parental involvement. All these factors contributed to kids/pupils’ academic success. In 2021, Ibemesi Emmanuel Chiderah came out overall best in Littoral during the Government Common Entrance (G.C.E) with an average of 19/20 To conclude, greater experience has proven that through motivation of teachers and pupils, the administration enhanced academic performance in the Horizon Nursery and Primary School Akw
